OUR STORY:
Mait has been directing (over 15 years) the most successful Men's varsity team tennis program at UNCW (10 CAA championships) and providing the community with summer camps and high school elite camps. However, Mait believed UNCW tennis could be a more influential program for Wilmington.
Taylor now over 12 years of service at UNCW has provided tennis clinics for the community from ladies to the high performance high school group. Taylors knowledge of the game and commitment to Uncw Men's tennis program and community has brought the programs to elite levels.
In 2022 Mait Hired Logan to expand the academy to a year round program. Logan focused on middle school tennis and in 2024, He took 3 teams to the Usta State team tennis championships winning 2 !!
Mait's vision is taking another step forward for the Wilmington Community.
SPRING 2024 the academy is adding Developmental clinics for kids ages 6-15.
John, for the past 20 years has run the largest and most successful tennis academy in Charlotte, is joining the team at UNCW to head up the developmental classes.
John brings his 40 years experience in child development and tennis to catapult the Wilmington community kids into fabulous tennis players.

UNCW alum Taylor Vaughn was named associate head men’s tennis coach for the three-time defending Colonial Athletic Association champions on Aug. 25, 2021. “Taylor has been a huge part of our success in the past and his passion and commitment for Seahawk tennis is unparalleled,” said Mait DuBois, UNCW’s veteran head coach. “We have worked together for 12 years and both share a passion for developing student-athletes of great character, pushing our program to new heights and consistently trying to improve what we do. I know this will be another step forward for our program.”
